Skills & Requirements
We’re looking for an eager developer with a head for devops who loves to learn. Your responsibilities as Sustainability Software Engineer will be to design and implement systems for performance monitoring and support projects pre and post-launch through bug triage and mitigation, compatibility updates, and strategic product enhancements. You should enjoy software development, tooling, and bug sleuthing, and take pride in your craft. Exceptional candidates will have experience building mobile or web applications from scratch, excellent client-facing communication skills, and broad technical proficiency.
Experience with any of our standard tooling is a plus. We don’t expect you to know all of these languages or tools! This role is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to code and best practices from a variety of platforms.
We develop on macOS systems, host our code in GitHub, build on CircleCI, deploy via HockeyApp, catch bugs using Crashlytics, BugSnag, and InstaBug, and track tickets in JIRA. Our go-to web frameworks are Ruby on Rails and Node.js, though we’ve also developed in Phoenix and others. We use Kotlin on Android and Swift on iOS, with Java and Objective-C their respective fallbacks. Nonetheless, the team is always evaluating new tools and we’d love to hear your favorites.
Raizlabs is a tightly knit team of mobile experts dedicated to building great software. Companies request our expertise and talent to conceive, design, and engineer their mobile strategies. We’ve worked in a diverse array of industries and technologies ranging from education to medical wearables, and are always playing with novel technologies.
Our user experience designers, product managers, and engineers often riff on new ideas and encourage each other, whether to experiment with new interactions or optimize an animation to run “like butter.” We work hard to be a collaborative and community-minded workplace. Raizlabs values team communication and a readiness to give and accept kind, actionable, and constructive feedback.
We have the freedom as a company to choose or pursue our projects and clients. Our business team responds to every lead in order to find the most exciting and challenging projects, and works with the team to ensure it’s a fit. As a result, we deliver high quality apps that we would enjoy to use ourselves.
